"Worship" of Yeshua is NOT "Worship" of God!

After receiving specific rebukes from several individuals on this issue and having to spend time showing each respondent their error, I decided it was best to simply publish an article.  Now, all I will have to do is provide the link to the article whenever this all to common issue is raised.  Of course, as with most other issues respondents raise, the answer is already found on my website or one of the other member sites of the SHEMA sitering of which I am a member - a ring dedicated to battling the Beast of Daniel, which promotes the "spirit of antichrist" and that "intends to change times a laws."  In this case, the snippet shown below from my Matthew commentary already addresses this issue.  Unfortunately, very few of our opponents ever spend any time looking at our proofs.  Instead, they rapidly fire-off an email, not knowing the very issue they inquire about may be the subject of an entire article or is covered within the New Testament commentary.  Thus, they PROVE themselves to be insincere by proving they have not even looked at our evidence.  They also prove how they may be wholly blinded and given over to the antichrist (replacement Messiah) Beast.

Ok, among the many passages of the New Testament that presents Yeshua as being the object of "worship" is Matthew 14:33.

Mt 14:33
33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Here we have a clear situation - one of many recorded in the New Testament - of Yeshua being "worshipped", yet those worshipping him did not worship him as YHVH but as the Son of YHVH, which to them, actually meant that they recognized him as Messiah or as an empowered, righteous agent of the Almighty God.  Although many think the term "worship" is only applicable to "God", in fact the term relates to showing reverence even to a fellow man.  The "divine worship" understanding Christian teachers apply to situations where Yeshua was shown reverence is often an intentional attempt to bias and misinform, since they know the Greek term rendered as "worship" does NOT necessarily refer to divine worship.  As the Strong's Lexicon points out, the Greek term is simply "used of homage shown to men and beings of superior rank".

Quoting from the Enhanced Strong's Lexicon for the Greek term rendered "worship":

Strong's Number 4352 proskunevw [proskuneo /pros·koo·neh·o/] v. From 4314 and a probable derivative of 2965 (meaning to kiss, like a dog licking his master's hand); TDNT 6:758; TDNTA 948; GK 4686; 60 occurrences; AV translates as "worship" 60 times.
  1. to kiss the hand to (towards) one, in token of reverence.
  2. among the Orientals, esp. the Persians, to fall upon the knees and touch the ground with the forehead as an expression of profound reverence.
  3. in the NT by kneeling or prostration to do homage (to one) or make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication.

So, we CLEARLY see that "worship" most certainly is NOT limited to worship of God.  It is irrefutable!  In fact, the term can even apply to "worship" of demons!

The often referenced instances of Yeshua being "worshipped" by Trinitarians is another example of their desperation to find any shred of proof for their unsubstantiated and false doctrine.  They force the Greek word to mean what is NOT necessarily the correct meaning!  This is another example of the biased use of "implicit" proofs by those promoting the mystery Babylon man-God or traditional Trinitarian Christianity and counterfeit Messianic Judaism/Nazarenes.

The reference, A Dictionary of Biblical Languages With Semantic Domains: Hebrew (Old Testament), by James Swanson, defines the Hebrew word often translated "worship" as - "take a stance of bowing low in an act of respect or honor, but not necessarily worship of deity" (Genesis 43:28).  The reference in Genesis is:

Genesis 43:28 - 28 And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

Or from the JPS Tanakh:

Genesis 43:28 - 28 They replied, "It is well with your servant our father; he is still in good health." And they bowed and made obeisance. Tanakh, The Holy Scriptures, (Philadelphia, Jerusalem: Jewish Publication Society) 1985.
This term "obeisance" is from the Hebrew equivalent of the Greek term used in the verse from Matthew shown above, as well as most other New Testament verses where "worship" is the translation.  Matthew, as many of you already know, is now strongly assumed to have been initially written in Hebrew; however, even if it wasn't, it was still written by a Hebrew from memory of conversations in Hebrew.  From Strong's Lexicon we determine the Hebrew term to mean:
    Strong's Number 7812 shachah {shaw-khaw'} a primitive root; TWOT - 2360; v
    AV - worship 99, bow 31, bow down 18, obeisance 9, reverence 5, fall down 3, themselves 2, stoop 1, crouch 1, misc 3; 172
  1. 1) to bow down
  2. to depress
  3. to bow down, prostrate oneself

Note, the term can even refer to "worship" of false gods!  Of course, this is precisely the type worship practiced by Trinitarians and all others that promote the antichrist (replacement Messiah) deception that Messiah is God.

Obviously, the context of Genesis is not referring to worship of YHVH.  It records Joseph's brothers "worshipping" him (obeisance) as someone of much higher rank.  Are Trinitarians prepared to claim that everyone in Scripture that was "worshipped" is YHVH (God)?  Since Joseph was "worshipped" do they also claim he was YHVH?

Actually, Joseph's life has astounding similarities to the work of Messiah Yeshua.  He was a "type" of Messiah, and his life was a blueprint for much in the life of Messiah Yeshua.

I hope this finally silences those that utilize the pitifully weak argument that Yeshua being worshipped "proves" he is God.
